Less than an hour from both the Adirondacks and the Green Mountains of Vermont, you have easy access to kayaking, hiking, and cycling in the summer and snowshoeing, ice skating, and downhill and cross-country skiing in the winter. In the fall, the Inn is a beautiful place to enjoy the spectacular display of autumn leaves that the area is renown for. Spring marks the beginning of the abundant growing season and if you enjoy locally-grown and organic produce and meat, Bacon Hill, which is known as the “bread basket of Saratoga County” is the perfect place to explore the bounty that the region has to offer. Pick your own blueberries and apples, visit the Saratoga Springs Farmer’s Market, and take the Bacon Hill Farm Tour, sponsored by Cornell Cooperative Extension. History buffs will love visiting the Saratoga Monument (which is visible from the Inn) and Saratoga National Battlefield, site of the defeat of the British that is considered to be the turning point of the American Revolution.
